New York, NY–Jason Berry’s acclaimed film “City of A Million Dreams” will have a New York City screening as a part the 18th Annual Manhattan Film Festival. The screening will take place at Cinema Village, 22 E. 12th Street, New York, NY on Sunday, June 16 at 3 pm.

A live round table discussion will follow this screening with the New Orleans-based Filmmaker, Author, and Journalist Jason Berry, Co-Producer and Production Designer Simonette Berry, Congo Square Creative Director Monique Moss and noted journalist and author Mark Hertsgaard, author of the just released book, Big Red’s Mercy, The Shooting of Deborah Cotton and a Story of Race in America(published May 7, 2024). Deborah Cotton aka “Big Red” is one of the key protagonists in the film.

Jason Berry will be available after the film screening and live discussion to sign his book, City of A Million Dreams, A Tricentennial History of the City of New Orleans as will Mark Hertsgaard, who penned Big Red’s Mercy, The Shooting of Deborah Cotton and A Story of Race in America. Book sales will be handled on site at Cinema Village by Book Club, the independent book store with coffee and wine.
